- ELEVEN YEARS AGO in the Chicago Loop, a young woman approached me and asked for a cigarette. I don't smoke. She replied, "Ahh, you look like the right type" and ran off. These are wonderful. What a great idea. I miss working on my daily doodles, (http://wendymartinillustration.com/wordpress) but I have a deadline looming and have dropped most everything to get the work done.
Super enjoyable.
Pieces of overheard conversation constantly leak into my poems. I love thinking about how these people have no idea that their words make my wheels turn.
